Saying no to AI art

There is a whole lot to discuss on this front, and I have many complicated feelings on the subject, but as things have shaped up over the last couple of months, especially so in just the last few weeks. AI art needs some regulation now. There are so many opportunists out there taking advantage of an ethical gray area, and a legal blank zone, and hurting the careers of so many artists who have worked so hard and so long to get where they are today, and it will hamper the careers of so many students and young people who are just starting out. AI is a shiny new toy and so many people are excited by this new frontier without thinking about the damage that it can do to an entire community.
